MEET THE CHEF

Anu’s passion and love for cooking stem from her love of community. Her life and early part of her childhood began in Nigeria, Africa. Mealtime was always about more than just food. It was about togetherness, laughter, sharing, and love. This mentality is the pedigree that is planted within her soul and sprouted her desire to join the culinary world. The combination of her ethnic roots, Midwestern childhood, and eagerness for knowledge paved the way for her to think, create, and experience food differently.

After graduating from culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu, Anu spent the first four years of her career at the award-winning, Brasa Premium Rotisserie. After managing culinary production for the company’s restaurant/ catering it was time for a new challenge. She spent the next two years growing and learning at other city staples such as Fabulous Catering, Bar La Grassa, Sandcastle, and Patisserie 46. After absorbing all that she could from the Twin Cities, she decided to trade in those cold Midwestern winters for hot Southern summers.

Arriving in Atlanta, Georgia, Anu welcomed the peach state as her new home! She started the beginning four years working as a sous chef at Avalon Catering, then as Chef de Cuisine of Rose and Rye and The Alden. In the midst of all of this, she worked as a food stylist assistant and began building a client base as a personal chef. With her personal clientele growing, she expanded her At-home chef services to a full-time business that now includes dinner parties, cooking classes, and catered events. Her personal chef services, Television appearances, and her Fire Dinner Series, a pop-up event series, are just a few of the things in the works for this woman.

Not just a chef, but a lover of food, you can find Anu enjoying meals created by others. In her free time, she loves to travel & dance and spend time with her husband, puppy, close friends, and family. A woman with a passion for food and appreciation for life, Chef Anu is thankful for all that support her passion & contribute to helping her live out her dreams. If you are not eating well, you are not living well!

One-pot meals that can be converted into a new dish for lunch the next day!



JUICY LUCY- Good Day Atlanta- June 30, 2020

Juicy Lucy Burger patty( per patty):

- 4oz ground sirloin

- 1 oz piece of melty cheese( cheddar, mozzarella, American cheese)

- TT burger seasoning salt

Procedure:

- divide the 4 oz portion into 2 smaller flatten patties. Place one half on a parchment paper, cover with parchment and flatten with something heavy, such as a plate.

- Repeat this step with the other half.

-Place cheese piece in the center and combine both halves, making one solidified patty. Make sure to close all gaps around the edge. Repeat for the desired amount of patties and refrigerate for about 1 hour.

- Cook patties in a greased pan or on a greased griddle until desired internal temperature.

- Allow patties to rest a few mins before assembling burgers

Chef Anu's Zingy Mayo Spread ( 1 cup):

- 1 cup mayo

- 2 T yellow mustard

-2 T spicy whole grain mustard

- 1/4 cup diced pickles

- 1 T pickle juice

- TT salt

- TT black pepper

Juicy Lucy Burger Assemble/ Chef Chef Anu's way:

- Your choice of a toasted soft burger bun

- Chef Anu's Zingy Mayo spread on both sides

- cooked and rested Juicy Lucy patty

- shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce

- caramelized onions

- pickles

Repeat per burger, ENJOY with a fresh summer salad and a refreshing drink!
